  • USC commit Alijah Arenas suffers torn meniscus

    BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ

USC commit, and son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, Alijah Arenas is expected to sit out his first season of college with a torn meniscus, per Chris Haynes.

The five-star prospect was beginning to get back into basketball form after being involved in a frightening car accident earlier in the year.

Arenas was expected to be the focal point of USC’s recruiting class, along with four-star prospect Jerry Easter out of Link Academy.

Now, the program has to wonder if the 6-foot-6 guard will play for their program at all.

Ranked No. 10 in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, this injury could have serious implications on whether or not Arenas decides to enter the 2026 NBA Draft.
