Alston, the 6-foot-9 forward out of Kenwood Academy and the Mac Irvin Fire Nike EYBL AAU program, is a big man with the ability to stretch the floor from deep. He is ranked the No. 104 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports.
“I chose Maryland because they’ve been on me since they were at Texas A&M and were always consistent,” Alston told ZAGSBLOG. “When I went on my visit they made it feel like home especially with how they treated me and my parents. They did their research on what type of player I am and can be, and they explained it to me which was surprising because not a lot of other schools were able to do that.”
Alston is the second member of Buzz Williams‘ recruiting class since he has come on board as Maryland’s new coach. He will be joining five-star prospect Darius Adams and nine transfers.
